Happy New Year, Haida Gwaii!
The Gwaii Trust staff are excited to help residents bring their big ideas to life in 2026!
Over the next few weeks, we’ll be updating the Gwaii Trust Society website with details on this year’s grant programs. Here are some key changes for 2026:
✅ Residency Requirement: Increased from 2 years to 5 consecutive years after community feedback, ensuring grants better serve Haida Gwaii as a whole.
✅ Athlii Gwaii Legacy grants opening in January.
✅ No Major Contributions Grant for 2026.
✅ Community Innovation Grant: Intake dates have been adjusted.
✅ Continuing Education Grant: Minimum/maximum course requirements removed for more flexibility.
✅ Standard Rates: Updated to align with BC standard rates.
